This is random, but slightly humorous. Beware.
Today in geology, a class that I already know is going to cause me much brain depletion, a line from Subterranean Homesick Blues by Bob Dylan popped into my head and the ceiling split open and light shined through and it all dawned on me.
“ Don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.”
See I go outside and I assess that the wind is blowing and that I need a coat. The End. I do not think of where it came from and what caused it. Why would I do that?
I’m usually not one to say that I don’t want to be in a class and that everything about it is useless. In fact, I won’t say that now. What I will say though is that if you aren’t planning on going into a geology field, this is one of those subjects that you WILL forget the minute you’re done with the final. That’s all I’m saying . . .
Anyways, back to the song. The line above is one of many lines in the song that might leave you thinking, “That may be true, but what is the point of this song.”
Well that doesn’t matter right now, because what matters is that Bob has once again made me feel better about something I’m frustrated with. I think that Subterranean Homesick Blues will pop up in the future again. Some random line. Some random situation. It is the beauty of it.

brilllllliant song
